Sources & Methodology

Every number on this dashboard comes from official government sources. Here are the direct links.

Methodology: Data is downloaded directly from IRCC open data CSV files and Statistics Canada. Suppressed values (shown as "--" in source files) are excluded from totals. Year-over-year percentages are calculated from annual sums. Per-capita rates use quarterly population estimates from Statistics Canada. All figures are as reported by the source agencies . We do not adjust, estimate, or extrapolate. This dashboard updates on the 1st and 15th of each month, or whenever IRCC publishes new data.
